1. Rental Items & Services

PUP provides the rental items and services listed in your order confirmation. Inventory may include backdrops, carts, furniture, linens, décor, and other event rentals.


2. Payment Terms

  • A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your event date and rental items. This allows us to begin preparing, purchasing, and building a team for your event.
  • The remaining balance is due 7 days before delivery.
  • By submitting payment, you authorize PUP to charge the same card for the balance and for any applicable fees (damage, loss, late returns, or additional services).
  • Late payments may result in cancellation of your order and forfeiture of your retainer.

3. Delivery & Pick-Up

  • Standard delivery includes curbside drop-off and pick-up within 20 miles of Lexington, KY. Deliveries outside this radius are charged at $2.00 per mile (round trip).
  • Delivery times are scheduled within a one-hour window. Setup is available for an additional fee and must be arranged in advance.
  • A responsible adult must be present at delivery and pick-up to sign for items. If a third party accepts delivery, they assume full responsibility for the rental items.
  • Items must be ready for pick-up at the scheduled time. Missed or delayed pick-ups may result in additional charges.

4. Care & Cleaning

  • PUP provides care instructions for handling and storing items. Renter must not glue, nail, staple, paint, or permanently alter any rental items.
  • Normal cleaning is included. Please do not wash linens or specialty items unless instructed. Improper cleaning or neglect may result in fees.
  • Renter may be charged additional cleaning fees if items are returned excessively dirty.

5. Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Order changes may be made up to 14 days before your event.
  • Cancellations or reductions within 14 days of your event are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations within 7 days of your event are charged in full.
  • Reductions are limited to 20% of the original order total. Changes beyond this may incur additional fees.
  • Additions are subject to availability and must be confirmed before delivery.

6. Custom & Special Orders

Items that are specially ordered or sourced for your event (custom linens, décor, specialty builds, etc.) cannot be reduced or canceled once confirmed.


7. Substitutions

PUP reserves the right to substitute or upgrade items due to last-minute inventory changes. Substituted items will match or exceed the quality of the original. You will be notified in advance when possible.


8. Responsibility & Damages

  • Renter is responsible for items from the time they are delivered until they are returned.
  • Renter may choose a Damage Waiver (10% of rental total) which covers accidental damage from normal use. This waiver does not cover neglect, theft, loss, or intentional damage.
  • Missing or damaged items are billed at full replacement cost. Certain specialty items may carry a higher replacement value.
  • Rental charges continue to accrue for items not returned on time.

9. Liability & Disclaimer

  • Rented items are for event use only and must be used at the event address listed on your contract. Subleasing or improper use is prohibited.
  • PUP makes no warranties, expressed or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • PUP’s liability is limited to the total rental fees paid. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

10. Equipment Failure

  • If a rental item becomes unsafe or in disrepair, Renter must immediately stop using it and notify PUP within one hour.
  • PUP will, at its discretion, repair, replace, provide a substitute, or adjust rental charges.
  • This does not relieve Renter of responsibilities outlined in this agreement.

11. Additional Charges

Extra charges may apply for:

  • Delivery or pick-up outside standard times, weekends, or holidays
  • Setup or teardown of furniture
  • Site delays caused by Renter or venue access issues
  • Replacement of missing packaging or storage materials

12. Force Majeure

PUP is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our control, including severe weather, transportation delays, natural disasters, or emergencies.


13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Any disputes shall be resolved in Kentucky courts.


14. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order and submitting your retainer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. You also authorize PUP to charge your card for the remaining balance and any applicable fees.
